Don't Just Send an Invitation Even though your military service may define a large part of your life experiences, I strongly challenge the idea that being a veteran is your identity. It's probably bigger than that.

IT professionals use many of the same skills as members of the military to solve their problems. If you are a military member or veteran and are interested in a career change, or if you are currently in the civilian workforce and are planning to leave your career, a career in information technology may be right for you.
More than 25,000 service members and veterans have already earned CompTIA certification. That may sound like a lot, but with nearly a million IT jobs in the U.S. today, it doesn't even come close to meeting industry demand.
Doing the latter can lead to serious frustration down the road when something starts to flare up but you can't get help for it. Swallow your pride and do it (learn the basics of the process here).
The Gi Bill Works Overseas
People are there to connect for business or professional purposes - that's the point. So reach out and try to connect with people. Read what others are sharing. Hire and you might be surprised what comes.
